Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Template — not legal advice. These policies are a starting point modelled on what comparable UK activist tools publish. Have a solicitor review before you go live, especially if you handle data on behalf of organisations larger than you can personally vouch for.

1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of Campaign Mailer ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. The service

The Service helps supporters email their elected representatives by generating pre-filled mailto: links. The actual email is sent from the supporter's own mail client, from their own email address — the Service does not relay, store, or send the email body on anyone's behalf.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is being used in breach of these terms. Campaigns may also be removed for the same reasons.

4. Accounts

You must keep your password and any MFA device secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at harry@sassoon.uk if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

5. Content you post

Campaign organisers ("you") are responsible for the content of your campaign pages and the email templates you publish. You confirm that:

You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display your content for the purpose of running the Service.

6. The recipients of supporter emails

We provide MP details from the UK Parliament Members API and councillor details from data each organisation imports. Both can become out of date. Supporters send from their own email client, so any direct complaint, reply, or follow-up sits between the supporter and the recipient — not us.

7. Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uptime, particular performance, or that data will always be retrievable. Back-ups exist but you shouldn't treat the Service as your sole record.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses (lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, etc.). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can end your access if you're in serious or repeated breach of these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we'll let logged-in account holders know via the dashboard. The "last updated" date at the top will always tell you the current version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
